Masterbatch

Masterbatch refers to a solid product, typically composed of plastic, rubber, or elastomer, which contains concentrated pigments or additives. These additives are optimally distributed within a carrier material at high concentrations. The carrier material is compatible with the primary plastic and can be blended during molding. This blending process enables the final plastic product to obtain the desired color or properties from the masterbatch. Masterbatch refers to a type of additive that is either solid or liquid and is utilized for plastics. It is commonly used for two primary purposes: coloring plastics (known as color masterbatch) or imparting other properties to plastics.
